What Is SkillsUSA?
SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving high school students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. This program provides the opportunity for high school students to demonstrate the skills they have developed in their occupational areas through contests, leadership activities, and achievements. Student representatives from each class learn leadership skills and manage school-wide community service projects throughout the year. All Maxwell students are encouraged to participate in SkillsUSA.
Our Mission Statement
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure a skilled workforce for the United States.

Community Service Project
The Quinn House is a multi-task, non-profit Outreach Operation that assists hundreds of people in Gwinnett County and in other areas of the state. Every year, Maxwell's SkillsUSA chapter coordinates the school's participation in Quinn House's Annual Children's Christmas Program. Our classes sponsor children who otherwise would not have a Christmas.
Maxwell was featured in the Gwinnett Daily Post for our participation in the program. Please see our two articles below.
